Israel M. Sanchez Jr.

His work has taken him across Massachusetts state courts and into the federal courts, with a practice shaped by a longstanding emphasis on careful factual development, procedural strategy, and preservation of issues for review.

A graduate of Milton Academy (1974), Harvard University (1978), and Boston University School of Law (1985), Sanchez brings an unusually deep Massachusetts educational and professional foundation to complex litigation. He was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1985 and to the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts in 1986. He is registered with the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers and is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

His practice encompasses disputes in which financial interests, property rights, regulatory requirements, and procedural posture intersect. In banking and commercial matters, he represents clients in disputes involving financial institutions, secured transactions, contractual obligations, real estate interests, and creditor-debtor relationships. His bankruptcy practice includes contested creditor proceedings, bankruptcy-related litigation, and matters in which the interaction between state-law rights and federal bankruptcy protections is central to the outcome.

Sanchez also handles administrative and Social Security matters, where the development of a complete administrative record and preservation of legal issues can determine whether a matter succeeds on review. His appellate work similarly reflects an attention to the record established in the trial court and to the procedural requirements governing review.
